Willow coffins
Willow coffins are collaborative and hand made, with linings from Kitty Wilson-Brown; and flowers by Tim Robson.
Land art, living willow structures, and basketry tuition.
Adam and Emma have been working together as Willow Phoenix since 2012, and have completed various commissions, events and community projects together.
Willow Phoenix are very excited to offer a series of seasonal willow basket projects for beginners to intermediate weavers.
Weaving is a mindful, sustainable craft, good for people, nature, and the planet. It’s a solid antidote to fast-paced life. The finished product is authentic and lasts. Weaving connects you to nature and is a gentle, whole-body exercise.
We offer the opportunity to learn about coppicing, its sustainability, and how it fits into the wider landscape of agroforestry.
We are members of the Heritage Crafts Association and support its aims of promoting and teaching to keep the craft viable and accessible. We have also committed to learning to make baskets from the Endangered Crafts Red List, to help keep the craft alive and accessible to future generations.
We look forward to crafting with you and taking you through the process of making your own baskets.
“Whether you’re a beginner, or an ardent stick-twiddler, we hope you find something you like — and we look forward to welcoming you to our friendly workshops.”
— Emma & Adam

One-off builds, land-art interventions, and unusual briefs discussed case by case. If it involves willow, place, and a real intention, it’s worth a conversation.
Brief → site notes/photos → rough options → quote → build date → install/aftercare notes.
